eBay
If you're creating a new ecommerce website and are already selling on eBay, or have previously sold on eBay, you can use ShopWired's eBay app to import listings from eBay into your ShopWired account.
This guide contains information on how to import your listings and important steps that you should be aware of when importing listings.
ShopWired strongly recommends that you use the help guides in the getting started section to successfully create and launch your website with ShopWired.
Before beginning, ShopWired recommends reading the importing products from eBay to ShopWired help guide, as well as the rest of the information contained below.
Item specifics / custom fields
Item specifics / custom fields
So that you can manage your eBay listings through your ShopWired account, you'll need to ensure that any data is imported with each listing. ShopWired supports eBay item specifics through the custom fields feature.
Before importing your eBay listings into ShopWired, ShopWired recommends closely inspecting each listing and creating a corresponding custom field within your ShopWired account for each item specific. You only need to create each individual item specific as a single custom field.
eBay listing templates
eBay listing templates
If you are currently using a template for your eBay listings, you should be aware that when ShopWired imports the description for each listing, it will import into ShopWired with the full eBay template HTML. Unfortunately, eBay does not provide a system to import only the text, and there is no system to automatically strip out the template so that your ShopWired website only displays the description.
Once you've imported your eBay listings, the template will need to be manually removed from each product description. This can be done either one-by-one (by editing each product) or using ShopWired's product import/export system.
