- Migrate customer data
To perform each of these migrations, you'll need to follow these steps:
- Download an export of the data from GoDaddy
- Modify the data into ShopWired's required format
- Upload the data into ShopWired
Other migration steps
ShopWired strongly recommends following the other help guides in this migration section and in the getting started section to successfully complete your migration from GoDaddy and get your website ready to launch on ShopWired.
Migrating category data
Migrating category data
GoDaddy does not have a native feature for exporting categories, and so you can't automatically migrate all of your category data from GoDaddy into ShopWired
However, the category(s) assigned to products are included in the product export, and therefore when importing your products, ShopWired will automatically create categories in your ShopWired account based on this information.
You can then either edit the categories one-by-one within your ShopWired account to add any missing information (such as images, descriptions, SEO tags, or to edit the page URLs) or use the category import/export system to edit them in bulk.
Migrating product data
Migrating product data
GoDaddy includes a native feature for exporting product data. Follow the instructions in GoDaddy's help guide for exporting product data to generate your export.
Once your products have been exported, you will need to modify the data to ShopWired's required format.
Migrating customer data
Migrating customer data
GoDaddy includes a native feature for exporting customer data, but it is not documented on GoDaddy's help guide. Instead, follow the instructions from migrationpro.io for details on how to export your customer data.
Once your customer data has been exported, you will need to modify the data to ShopWired's required format.
