Shipping & charging for delivery
To charge customers an additional fee for delivering the products that they order from your website, you'll need to set up delivery charging.
ShopWired has a number of different features that allow you to set up a delivery charging structure on your website:
- Choose which countries/areas you deliver to, known as delivery zones
- Create delivery rates for each country/area (configuring different pricing depending on the products a customer buys)
- Create different delivery services for customers to choose from (e.g. fast, standard or saver delivery)
ShopWired's set of features for delivery charges also includes:
- Configuring delivery charges for UK customers based on their postcode
- Configuring specific delivery prices for individual products
- Configuring the availability of delivery rates depending on the products in a visitor's basket
- You can either specifically include or exclude a delivery rate
- Configuring a different delivery charging structure for your website's trade/wholesale customers

Click & collect
Click & collect
ShopWired offers a click & collect feature that allows you to offer a collection option to your visitors who don't want to have their order delivered.
The click & collect feature enables you to:
- Create multiple collection locations
- Allow website visitors to search for their nearest location
- Offer a different cost, or make it free, for customers to collect their orders
Not charging for delivery
Not charging for delivery
If you don't want to charge customers for delivering their orders, or want to offer free delivery on specific products, there are several ways that you can achieve this:
- Configure products with a free, specific delivery cost
- Configure a single delivery rate (with a
0
cost) for each delivery zone you configure
If you are selling products where physical delivery (or collection) is not required, you can also configure each product accordingly. You can configure products as which means that if a visitor's basket only contains products that don't require a delivery address, the visitor will only be prompted to enter their billing address at checkout.
The features available to not charge for delivery and/or not asking for a delivery address are particularly useful if you are selling digital products or services on your website.
Shipping platform integrations
Shipping platform integrations
ShopWired integrates with two major platforms to help you more easily ship your items:
Click & Drop
Royal Mail's Click & Drop service allows you to purchase postage online, schedule parcel collections or drop off packages at various locations (including Post Offices, parcel postboxes or Collect+ locations). The service streamlines the shipping process so that you can manage postage of your packages from your business's location, paying and printing shipping labels yourself and choosing convenient drop-off or collection options.
Royal Mail also offers Parcel Collect, a service where packages are picked up directly from your business's location. You can arrange for collection of packages online.
You can use ShopWired's integration with Click & Drop to automatically export orders you receive on your ShopWired website to the Click & Drop platform so that all you need to do is pay for, and print, the shipping label through your Click & Drop account.
ShipStation
ShipStation is an order management and dispatch platform that allows you to connect your ShipStation account to a wide range of different courier services so that you can pay for, and print, shipping labels through your ShipStation account. ShipStation also allows you to arrange collection of your packages by the courier.
ShipStation integrates with over 20 different courier services in the UK, including Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, EVRi, and UPS. It offers several different integrations with Amazon services including Fulfillment by Amazon and Amazon Shipping.
You can use ShopWired's integration with ShipStation to automatically export orders you receive on your ShopWired website to the ShipStation platform. Once exported, you can then easily arrange for dispatch of your orders to your customers.
